Our immune system is the Holy Grail of health, and especially during the colder season, when most people suffer from colds and flu, it is important to strengthen our immune system. So apart from enough sleep, an all-round healthy diet, it also helps to add more warming and immune boosting ingredients to our daily rituals such as our golden recipe below:
- 250ml oat milk (homemade or ready-made – if ready-made make sure it doesn’t contain any nasties such as emulsifiers)
- 1 tsp Golden Turmeric Honey
- ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper
- 1 small fresh beetroot
- 3 cm piece of ginger
Juice the beetroot and ginger, and add the juice and cayenne pepper to a mug. In the meantime heat the oat milk, until almost boiling. Add the hot oat milk to the mug and blend the mixture well with one teaspoon of Golden Turmeric Honey.
Immune boosting ingredients: Turmeric, Raw Honey, Coconut Oil, Ginger, Cayenne Pepper
Beetroot juice: Beetroot is a good source of iron and folate (naturally occurring folic acid). It also contains nitrates, betaine, magnesium and other antioxidants(notably betacyanin).
